The main reason for fitting a Jetex Kartalyst is to reduce dangerous CO, HC and NOX emissions expelled from Honda GX engines. Therefore it is essential that the catalyst substrate has the following properties.
Is made from stainless steel;
Has an adequate precious metal coating to allow conversion of CO, HC and NOX into non-harmful gases;
Has an internal structure that is not only sturdy but that is free-flowing for maximum engine performance
Vacuum-Brazed Catalyst Substrates
Features:
All catalysts are metallic rather than ceramic.
Substrates are made from vacuum-brazed ultra-thin metal foil wrapped into a honeycombed structure. This type of design creates an increased surface area for gas conversion, but is also very free flowing.
Correct loading of precious metals, including Platinum and Palladium.
All our substrates are based on the same technology as that used for catalysts in world rallying and other motorsport championships.
